- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical & Production Engineering is required. It must be Full Time / Part Time and from a recognized University / Institute with UGC / AICTE approval.
- Qualifying GATE-2025 with ME as the paper code is required.
- The minimum degree marks required are 60% for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Power Engineering is required. It must be Full Time / Part Time and awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
- Qualifying GATE-2025 with EE as the paper code is required.
- The minimum degree marks required are 60% for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering is required. It must be Full Time / Part Time and awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
- Qualifying GATE-2025 with CE as the paper code is required.
- The minimum degree marks required are 60% for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates.

| Stage 1 (Shortlisting) | Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks scored out of 100 in GATE-2025 in the ratio of 1:6 (or 1:10) against the vacancies notified for each Area. Shortlisting is done independently for Area-1, Area-2, Area-3, and Area-4. |
