Questions
What size is a passport photo in India?
35×45 mm. At 300 DPI that is 413×531 pixels, which is what this tool makes. The 2×2 inch option (600×600 pixels) is for US visas.
How do I print it?
Download the print sheet PDF and print it on A4 photo paper at 100% or "Actual size". Do not choose "Fit to page", or the photos will shrink.
What background should I use?
A plain white or very light wall with even light works best. If yours is busy, tick White background and the tool replaces it on your device. Look straight at the camera and keep both ears visible.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo, the white background and the print sheet are all made in your browser; the photo never leaves your device.
What does Check photo look at?
It finds your face and checks that there is only one, that it is centred and large enough, and that the photo is sharp, well lit and on a plain background. It is a guide, not an official approval.
