Himachal Pradesh Home Guards, Civil Defence & Fire Services Department has released Advertisement No. 2/2026 for the recruitment of 01 Junior Office Assistant (IT) / JOA (IT) post on a Job Trainee basis. This recruitment is exclusively for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Orthopedically Handicapped - OH with 40% or more disability) who are Bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. Eligible candidates can submit their offline application form by 31 October 2026 (for Non-Tribal areas) and 10 November 2026 (for Tribal areas).

Salary / Emoluments

HP Home Guards Vacancy Details 2026: Total 01 Post
- Must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognized Board / University OR
- Matriculation with 1 or 2 years ITI Diploma in Information Technology (IT) / ITES OR 3-year Diploma in Computer Engineering / CS / IT from an AICTE recognized polytechnic.
- Computer typing speed of 30 wpm in English OR 25 wpm in Hindi.
- Disability Requirement: Must possess a minimum 40% permanent Orthopedically Handicapped (OH) certificate issued by the District Medical Board.
- Domicile: Must be a Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.

- Download the official notification and prescribed application format from himachal.nic.in/homeguard or collect it from the Office of the Commandant General, Shimla-1.
- Fill in all details in the prescribed application form neatly and accurately.
- Paste a recent self-attested passport-size photograph on the form.
- Enclose self-attested copies of all essential documents: 10th and 10+2 Certificates / ITI or Polytechnic Diploma Bonafide Himachali Certificate Disability Certificate (40% or more OH disability from District Medical Board) Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS if applicable) Employment Registration Certificate Relevant evaluation certificates (BPL, Non-Employment, Landless, Single Daughter/Orphan, Experience, etc.) One self-addressed envelope with postal stamps affixed
