How to Prepare for HPSC Manager (Personnel) Exam 2026
- Since the paper is subjective and covers 10 broad units, prepare unit-wise notes with definitions, models and diagrams such as BCG Matrix, McKinsey 7S and PERT/CPM that can be reproduced quickly in a 3-hour examination.
- Give equal attention to HR-specific Units II and III and finance/strategy Units IV, V and VI, as they together form the bulk of the syllabus.
- Practice writing full-length subjective answers within time limits, since the paper is descriptive and not objective-type.
- Revise numerical-based topics separately, including Ratio Analysis, Capital Budgeting, Leverages and Statistics for Management from Units IV, V and VIII.
- Since attendance in both the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview is mandatory, prepare HR/management current affairs and be ready to discuss your subject knowledge during the interview stage.
- Keep track of the official HPSC website for the exam date, admit card and any syllabus updates, as these were not specified in the current announcement.
