The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the Written Examination Result (with Name & Roll Number) for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 for 1,358 vacancies on 01 September 2026. The computer-based written examination was held on 02 August 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their qualifying status in the merit list PDF from the official website upsc.gov.in. Shortlisted candidates are eligible to appear for the Interview / Personality Test.

- Visit the official portal of UPSC: www.upsc.gov.in.
- On the homepage, navigate to the “What’s New” or “Written Results” section.
- Click on the notification link titled “Written Result: Combined Medical Services Examination, 2026”.
- The result PDF containing Roll Numbers and Names of shortlisted candidates will open on the screen.
- Press Ctrl + F on desktop or use search on your PDF viewer to check your Roll Number or Full Name.
- If your roll number appears, you have qualified for the Personality Test / Interview.
- Download and save the PDF file for future reference.
Next Stage: DAF Submission & Interview / Personality Test
- All qualified candidates must fill up and submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online on the UPSC portal within the dates to be announced.
- The Personality Test / Interview carries 100 Marks to evaluate intellectual curiosity, critical powers of assimilation, balance of judgement, alertness of mind, and social cohesion.
- Original certificates supporting DOB, MBBS degree, internship completion, and category must be produced at the time of the Interview.
