Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), formerly known as UPHESC, has released the UPESSC Assistant Professor Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2026 for Advertisement No. 04/2026 for recruitment to 1936 Assistant Professor posts in government and government-aided degree colleges of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates can check the revised examination pattern, subject-wise syllabus, marking scheme, selection process, negative marking and preparation tips from this page. The latest pattern consists of 120 objective-type questions for 360 marks, with 30 questions from General Knowledge and 90 questions from the concerned subject. The written examination is followed by an interview.

UPESSC Assistant Professor Concerned Subject Syllabus 2026
The 90-question concerned subject paper carries 270 marks and is based on the subject selected by the candidate. The detailed syllabus is released separately for the respective subjects. Candidates should download and study the latest subject-specific syllabus applicable to their post.
