UPCISB Assistant 2026: Eligibility, Salary, Exam Date, Answer Key and Result
UPCISB is filling Assistant/Cashier, Assistant Manager and other Assistant posts in UP co-operative banks in 2026: the application window is closed, the District Co-operative Bank Assistant/Cashier exam is on 14 October 2026, and no answer key or result is out yet.
The U.P. Co-operative Institutional Service Board (UPCISB), Lucknow, published Advertisement No. A-2/G.R./2026 on 14 April 2026. It is for the Combined Co-operative Banking, Non-Banking and Technical Services Examination (General Recruitment) 2026. The post-wise numbers in the advertisement add up to 2,085 posts. UPCISB Assistant eligibility
Educational qualification
- Assistant/Cashier (District Co-operative Bank): graduation with 55% marks from a recognised university or institute, and at least a CCC certificate in computer.
- Assistant/Cashier (U.P. Co-operative Bank): bachelor's degree with 55% marks, plus CCC or a higher computer certificate from NIELIT or an equivalent body.
- Assistant Manager (General) (U.P. Co-operative Bank): postgraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics with at least 55% marks plus CCC or higher; or a full-time MBA/PGDM in Banking/Finance from a UGC/AICTE recognised institution; or Chartered Accountant.
- Assistant Manager (Computer) (U.P. Co-operative Bank): B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication, or BCA, with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Assistant/Typist: graduation, computer typing at 30 words a minute in Hindi and 40 in English, and a CCC certificate.
- Assistant/Stenographer: graduation, shorthand at 80 words a minute in Hindi and English, computer typing at 30 (Hindi) and 40 (English) words a minute, and a CCC certificate.
- Assistant Manager (General) (U.P. Cooperative Federation): graduation, or a B.Tech in Computer, Electronic Communication or any trade. Preference goes to three years' work as Superintendent or equivalent in a top co-operative society, and to MBA holders.
You had to hold the qualification by the last date of application, 15 May 2026. Candidates still appearing in the qualifying exam were not eligible.

Only one relaxation is given, whichever helps more. Reserved-category candidates who are not natives of Uttar Pradesh count as Unreserved and get no reservation or age relaxation.

For District Co-operative Bank Assistant/Cashier posts, the highest listed scale (Rs 25,620 to 64,670) is for Moradabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, Ghaziabad, Jalaun, Meerut, Bijnor and Bulandshahr. The lowest (Rs 2,200 to 5,825) is for Jaunpur, Siddharthnagar, Hardoi, Bahraich, Sultanpur and Ballia. District bank Assistant/Typist and Assistant/Stenographer posts also have bank-wise scales. UPCISB Assistant application form and fee
Applications were online only, through the official website, from 25 April 2026 to 15 May 2026. The window is now closed. The advertisement says no application or fee is accepted after the last date.

The fee covered a single-stage exam. The advertisement said a second fee would be due if a preliminary exam were held. The board's notices of 5 September and 1 October 2026 say no preliminary exam will be held for the posts they schedule.

Category 2 posts (Assistant Manager (General) and (Computer), U.P. Co-operative Bank): 120 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes.
- Reasoning 20 questions (20 marks), Numerical Ability 20 (20 marks), General Awareness 15 (15 marks), Co-operative 15 (15 marks), Language 10 (10 marks)
- Subject paper: 40 questions for 120 marks. Assistant Manager (General) takes Managerial Skills (30 Banking and 10 Computer Knowledge questions). Assistant Manager (Computer) takes Computer Science/Information Technology.
Questions are multiple choice. A wrong answer costs one quarter of that question's marks. Questions left blank carry no penalty.
UPCISB Assistant admit card
Admit cards are downloaded from the official website with the registration or roll number and the password or date of birth. Bring the admit card, an original photo ID and a photocopy of that ID to the exam.
For the 17 to 21 September 2026 exams, the notice of 15 September 2026 said exam city details were sent by email and SMS and admit cards could be downloaded from the website. On 6 October 2026 the admit card link on the home page shows "Call letter Download is over". The 1 October 2026 notice for the 14 October exam does not give an admit card date, so watch the home page.
UPCISB Assistant answer key
Not released yet as of 6 October 2026. The official website has no answer key notice. The advertisement does not mention an answer key. It says question papers are shown only during the exam and are not shared afterwards.
UPCISB Assistant result
Not released yet as of 6 October 2026. The Results tab on the official home page is empty. The board posts all updates on its website and does not write to candidates one by one, so check the site regularly.
UPCISB Assistant selection process
- Online Main Examination with multiple-choice questions.
- Minimum marks in the Main Examination: 35% for SC and ST, 40% for others. Candidates below this are left out of the merit list.
- Category 2 posts (Assistant Manager, U.P. Co-operative Bank): interview. Up to 3 times the number of posts are called.
- Category 3 posts (Assistant/Cashier and the others): merit on the Main Examination, plus a skill test where a skill is an essential qualification. Up to 5 times the number of posts are called for the test.
- Document verification and a medical examination before appointment.
Special Recruitment 2026: separate Assistant posts
UPCISB also ran a separate Special Recruitment (Advertisement No. A-1/S.R./2026, dated 24 March 2026) only for Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class candidates of Uttar Pradesh. It had 57 Assistant/Cashier (Banking Assistant/Clerical Staff) posts and 2 Assistant/Typist posts in District Co-operative Banks. Applications ran from 25 March to 15 April 2026. The notice of 24 August 2026 fixed the exam for 7 September 2026 (Assistant/Cashier) and 8 September 2026 (Assistant/Typist). The official site shows no answer key or result for it as of 6 October 2026.
