An official notification (Notification No. 07/G/ES/2026) has been released by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC), Hyderabad for general recruitment to 102 vacancies. The posts are Mandal Planning and Statistical Officers (MPSO) / Assistant Statistical Officers (ASO) in the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Government of Telangana. Eligible candidates can apply if they hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, or Computer Science (with Statistics) and are between 18 and 44 years of age. Educational Qualification (as on 28/10/2026)
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with Statistics among the main subjects; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, including a Statistics paper in 1st, 2nd, or all 3 years; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, including a Statistics paper in 1st, 2nd, or all 3 years; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, including a Statistics paper in 1st, 2nd, or all 3 years; OR
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, including a Statistics paper in 1st, 2nd, or all 3 years.
- The University / Institute awarding the degree must have UGC recognition.

- Open www.tgpsc.gov.in, the official website for TGPSC.
- To get a TGPSC ID, first-time applicants must finish One Time Registration (OTR).
- If you already hold a TGPSC ID, click the Online Application Link for Notification No. 07/G/ES/2026.
- Enter your Date of Birth and TGPSC ID to login. Then verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Check the details taken from the OTR database for your personal information, community and educational qualification.
