Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL) has issued the official recruitment notification in association with the Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) [BOAT-SR]. It covers 500 Diploma (Technician) Apprentices in Engineering disciplines for 2026-27. Eligible candidates from Tamil Nadu can apply if they completed a regular 3-year Diploma in Engineering in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026. Online applications are open from 28 October 2026 until 28 November 2026 on nats.education.gov.in, the official web portal for the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0).

Eligibility Criteria
- A State Council / Board of Technical Education or a recognized University must have granted the regular full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in the relevant discipline.
- Passing Year: Candidates must have passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or May 2026.
- Candidates are NOT eligible if they hold higher qualifications (B.E. / B.Tech.) or have job experience of 1 year or more.

Selection Process
- Only the percentage of marks scored in the prescribed basic Diploma qualification will determine the shortlisting of candidates.
- Notification will reach shortlisted candidates at their registered Email ID.
- TNPDCL will call shortlisted candidates to its Office, Chennai, for Certificate Verification.
- Candidates attending certificate verification will receive no TA / DA.
How to Apply for TNPDCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Open nats.education.gov.in, the official portal for NATS 2.0.
- New Students (First-time Enrollment): Select Student Register and provide your personal and educational details. Then generate your 12-digit NATS Enrollment Number.
- Enrolled Students: Select Student Login, then use your registered email ID along with your password.
- Once you have logged in, open the section named “Apply against advertised vacancies”.
- Find “TAMIL NADU POWER DISTRIBUTION CORPORATION LIMITED (TNPDCL)” using the establishment name search.
- Select Apply to submit the application, then check that its status shows “Applied”.
- You must enter your Diploma Examination percentage of marks in your NATS profile. Without this entry, your candidature will not be considered.
- Complete your online application submission on or before 28 November 2026.
