Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) has released a notification for the engagement of 710 Trade (ITI), Technician (Diploma), and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentice Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. Eligible candidates must first register on the respective NAPS/NATS portals and apply online before the deadline. After applying, candidates must attend the Walk-in Document Verification process scheduled between 27 October and 21 November 2026 according to their trade.

- ITI Passed out in the respective trade from a Govt. recognized Institute as a regular candidate.
- Degree/Diploma in the respective disciplines from a Govt. recognized Institute/University as a regular candidate.
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are ONLY eligible.
How to Apply & Attend Walk-in for SAIL Bhilai Apprentice 2026
- Registration on Portal (Before Walk-in) For ITI Candidates: Register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (NAPS portal). For Degree/Diploma Candidates: Register on nats.education.gov.in (NATS portal).
- Apply for Establishment Log in to the respective portal, search for the establishment “Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai Steel Plant”, and click “Apply” against the relevant trade. The last date to apply on the portal is 20 October 2026. Take a printout of the registration/application profile.
- Prepare Documents for Walk-in Gather self-attested copies of 10th Marksheet, Provisional/Original Pass Certificate & Marksheets for ITI/Diploma/Degree, SC/ST/OBC/PH Certificate, Aadhaar Card (e-KYC validated), Bank Passbook, Medical Fitness Certificate (from Govt. Hospital), and NAPS/NATS Registration copy.
- Attend Walk-in Verification Visit Room No 123, HRDC Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh 490001 between 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on the dates designated for your specific trade (Check notification for trade-wise dates between 27 Oct to 21 Nov 2026).
