POWERGRID Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2027 OUT - Apply Online Through GATE
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID) has released a recruitment notification for fresh Engineering Graduates for Executive positions as Engineer Trainee (Batch 2027) in Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, and Electronics disciplines. The selection will be based on the GATE 2027 Score. Candidates must first register and appear for GATE 2027. The online application window for POWERGRID will tentatively open in March / April 2027.

Note: Final Year / Semester students expecting their final results by 31.08.2027 are also eligible to apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 60% marks up to the pre-final examination.
How to Apply for POWERGRID Engineer Trainee Recruitment 2027
- Step 1 (GATE 2027 Registration): Candidates must register and appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2027. Registration for GATE 2027 is open until 05 October 2026 (with late fee).
- Step 2 (POWERGRID Application): A separate notification with vacancy details and instructions will be hosted on the POWERGRID website tentatively in March/April 2027.
- During the POWERGRID application window (March/April 2027), candidates must register online at the POWERGRID CAREER section using their GATE 2027 Application Number and GATE 2027 Registration Number.
- Candidates must fill in all required personal, educational, and category details carefully.
- Upload the necessary documents, photograph, and signature in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee of ₹500/- (if applicable) through online mode. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM and Departmental candidates are exempted.
- Submit the application and retain a printout of the submitted form, GATE 2027 Admit Card, and GATE 2027 Score Card for future verification stages.
