Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released the official admission notification and online application portal for Class 11th (XI) Lateral Entry Selection Test 2027 (LEST) for the academic session 2027-28 against vacant seats in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across India. Students currently studying in Class 10th (X) during the current academic session in Government / Government-recognized schools can submit online application forms starting from 02 September 2026 to 30 September 2026 at navodaya.gov.in. The nationwide selection test will be held on 10 April 2027 (Saturday). There is no application fee. Age Limit
- Candidate must be born between: 01 June 2009 and 31 July 2011 (both days inclusive).
- This age criterion applies to candidates of all categories, including SC, ST, OBC, and General.

NVS Class 11th Admission 2027-28: Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must be studying in Class X (10th) during the current academic session in a Government or Government-recognized school in the same district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought.
- Candidate must pass Class 10th board examination from a recognized Board (CBSE / State Board / ICSE) before final admission.
- Candidate must be an Indian National and a bona fide resident of the district concerned.

How to Apply Online for NVS Class 11th Admission 2027-28
- Visit the official portal of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti: www.navodaya.gov.in or the CBSE LEST portal.
- Click on the flashing link “Click here to submit online application form for Class XI Lateral Entry Selection Test 2027”.
- Select the State and District where the candidate is currently studying in Class X.
- Enter candidate’s personal details, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar Number, and contact info.
- Select up to two preferred streams (Science / Commerce / Humanities / Vocational) and up to three preferred JNVs per stream.
- Upload required scanned documents: Candidate’s recent passport-size photograph (JPG format, 10-100 KB). Candidate’s signature (JPG format, 10-100 KB). Parent / Guardian’s signature (JPG format, 10-100 KB).
- Review all filled-in details in the preview section carefully before final submission.
- Click on “Submit” to generate your unique Registration Number.
- Download and print the final submitted online application form for future reference.
