The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification and opened online applications for the UGC NET / JRF December 2026 Examination. The national level examination for determining eligibility for ‘Award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’ will be conducted from 14 December to 19 December 2026. Candidates can submit their online registration from 08 October 2026 to 28 October 2026 through the official portal ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates holding or pursuing a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from UGC recognized Universities / Institutions.
- OBC-NCL / SC / ST / PwD / Third Gender category candidates require a minimum of 50% marks.
- Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or awaiting results are also eligible to apply provisionally.
