The Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Lucknow, Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has issued Notification No. Per./Inspection/S&T/Notification/11/2026 for filling up 11 posts (Approx) of Senior Section Engineer / Inspection / S&T on an ex-cadre and tenure basis in Pay Level-7. Applications are invited from eligible serving railway employees of Zonal Railways and Production Units. Applications completed in the prescribed proforma and forwarded through the proper channel must reach RDSO, Lucknow on or before 05 November 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Railway Employees
- Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7 working in the Signal & Telecommunication (S&T) department of Zonal Railways / Production Units.
- Sr. Section Engineers of S&T working in a Level higher than Level-7 may also apply.
- Minimum 05 Years of Service Experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7.
- No case under D&AR, SPE/Vigilance should be pending or contemplated.
- Total APAR grading of last three years (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25) should not be less than 11 marks, and grading of last year should not be less than ‘GOOD’.
- Candidate must have minimum 05 years of residual service.
- Medical fitness standard: A-3 category.
- Cut-off date for eligibility and experience: 21 September 2026.
- Experience in ex-cadre posts and pay level granted due to MACP will not be considered.
Selection Process & Screening Scheme (Total: 20 Marks)
- Selection will be based on screening of eligible candidates by a Screening Committee.
- Marks of APAR (Maximum 15 Marks): Outstanding: 05 Marks Very Good: 04 Marks Good: 03 Marks Average: 02 Marks Below Average: 01 Mark
- Marks of Educational Qualification (Maximum 05 Marks): Degree (B.Tech or Equivalent): 05 Marks Diploma / B.Sc or Equivalent: 03 Marks
- A panel will be prepared based on the total marks. In case of equal marks, priority will be given to the candidate with more service experience.

- Fill in personal details, designation, pay level, HRMS ID, educational qualification, and experience history.
- Submit the completed application form to the controlling officer / Personnel Branch of their respective Zonal Railway / Production Unit.
- The controlling authority / Personnel Branch will verify the service particulars, attach attested photocopies of the Service Book and APARs of the last three years (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25), and confirm D&AR / Vigilance clearance.
