Why it happens

"Passport size" means different things on different portals. 98 of the 185 exams in our list use 276×354 px, while others differ, for example Agniveer (354×472 px), CEED (200×230 px), CLAT (200×230 px). Wrong dimensions are one of the most common reasons for rejection, so use your exam's exact size.

How to fix it

  1. Find your exam on this site, for example IBPS PO or SSC CGL.
  2. Add your photo in the Photo slot.
  3. Download it at the exact pixels and KB range, ready to upload.

Questions

What is passport size for government exams in India?

There is no single standard. In our list, 98 of 185 exams use 276×354 px, and others such as Agniveer (354×472 px), CEED (200×230 px), CLAT (200×230 px) differ. Open your exam to get its exact dimensions.

Is a 3.5×4.5 cm photo the same as passport size?

3.5×4.5 cm is the usual printed size. Online forms ask for pixels instead, most often 276×354 px in our list, so use the pixel size your exam states rather than converting from centimetres.

Can I crop my own photo to passport size?

Yes. Use Resize photo to set the exact pixels and adjust the crop yourself, or the Passport photo tool for a printable 35×45 mm photo.
