Signature

Required

140×60 px · 20–50 KB · JPEG

Official pages disagree: the XAT 2027 registration page says 20–50 KB, the bulletin says 140x60 px, 10–20 KB. Sign on white paper with a black ink pen; it must match the admit card and attendance sheet.

Sizes marked "our default" are not set by the official notification. The tool uses a common size, so check the limits shown on the application form.

Spotted a size that does not match the notification?

    Report a wrong size

For example: the 2026 notice asks for 20–50 KB, not 10–20 KB.

    Why applications get rejected

    • Photo is not exactly 200×230 px
    • Photo file is the wrong size (must be 20–50 KB)
    • Background is not plain white or light
    • Face is blurry, too small or covered (cap, dark glasses)
    • Signature is written in capital letters
    • File saved as PNG or HEIC instead of JPEG

    Questions

What is the signature size for XAT?

The XAT notification does not publish a signature size. Our tool makes it 140×60 px, JPEG, 20–50 KB. Note: Official pages disagree: the XAT 2027 registration page says 20–50 KB, the bulletin says 140x60 px, 10–20 KB. Sign on white paper with a black ink pen; it must match the admit card and attendance sheet.

Which documents does XAT need, and what is each document size?

The application asks for 2 files: Photograph (200×230 px, 20–50 KB, JPEG); Signature (size not published, JPEG).

Can I use a phone photo for XAT?

Yes. Upload it on this page. It is cropped to 200×230 px and compressed to 20–50 KB on your device. Use a plain light background and face the camera.

Are these the official XAT requirements?

They are the sizes our tool applies for XAT. Rules can change between cycles, so always cross-check with the latest official notification before you submit.
