Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), South Western Railway (SWR), Hubballi has released the official General Departmental Competitive Examination notification (GDCE Notification No. 01/2026) to fill 25% of vacancies under the Direct Recruitment Quota. The announced 258 Vacancies cover Goods Train Manager (Erstwhile Goods Guard) and Junior Engineers (JE) posts in the Civil, Mechanical, and S&T departments. Applications are open to regular serving railway employees of South Western Railway (SWR) and Rail Wheel Factory / Yelahanka (RWF/YNK) who hold a Bachelor’s Degree or a 3-Year Engineering Diploma in relevant disciplines. Eligibility: Who Can Apply?
- Eligibility is limited to railway employees serving regularly in South Western Railway (SWR) and Rail Wheel Factory / Yelahanka (RWF/YNK) only.
- Eligible staff must be working at lower pay levels or at the same level (from non-safety to safety posts).
- Note: Those in RPF / RPSF, Law Assistants, Catering Inspectors, and Accounts Cadre are NOT eligible for application.

- A recognized University must have awarded the Degree (Graduation) in any discipline, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering lasting three years; OR
- A three-year B.Sc. in Civil Engineering; OR
- A recognized University / Institute qualification combining any sub-stream from the basic Civil Engineering streams.
- A Diploma lasting three years in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Manufacturing / Mechatronics / Industrial / Machining / Instrumentation & Control / Tools & Die Making / Automobile / Production Engineering; OR B.E./B.Tech.
- A Diploma lasting three years in Electrical / Electronics / Information Technology / Communication Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering; OR B.E./B.Tech.

- From 09 November 2026, visit rrchubli.in, the official website for Railway Recruitment Cell, Hubballi.
- Select “GDCE Notification No. 01/2026 Online Application” using its link.
- Provide your registered mobile number and personal email ID along with your IPAS / HRMS Employee Number.
- Carefully enter your service details and educational qualifications, then specify your post preferences in order.
- Upload a recent passport-size color photograph with your signature below it. It must be no older than 1 month and show you without cap/goggles (JPG/JPEG, maximum 5 MB). Upload educational/degree/diploma certificates as PDF files.
- Preview all the information you entered, then submit the application form online before 08 December 2026 (23:59 hrs).
- Download the application form after submission and print a clear copy for future reference.
