Through its First Vacancy Circular (No: 12026/02/2026-IFS-I), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India has invited eligible Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers to submit nominations. The circular covers tenure deputation postings under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for Vacancy Year 2027. There are 81 vacancies across ADGF, DDGF, IGF, DIGF, and AIGF levels at headquarters, various regional offices, and the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). - Download these documents: First Vacancy Circular (No: 12026/02/2026-IFS-I), Annexure-I (Part-I, II & III), and Annexure-A (Executive Record Sheet).
- In the application form's Part-I, enter your personal details and cadre, followed by allotment year and educational qualifications. Include posting details for the past 10 years and 3 station preferences.
- Complete Annexure-A (Executive Record Sheet). Give full details of your training and foreign visits, along with publications and awards.
- For cadre clearance, submit your application to the State Government / UT Administration / parent cadre.
- Have the Cadre Controlling Authority duly complete Part-II and Part-III, including vigilance clearance, the integrity certificate, and data for CDR/SDR.
- Attach copies of APARs / ACRs covering the respective eligibility period, with due attestation.

- The nomination email must reach the Ministry on or before 01 December 2026.
